Framing an Image
Step 11
Open the image
you are going to frame and duplicate it twice,
then close your original.
Step 12
Using one of
pictures, go to Layers/Promote to Layer.

Then select all
and delete leaving a blank image the size of
your picture.
Step 13
Now go to
Image/Picture Frame and choose the frame you
just made.
Step 14
Use your magic
wand select the outside blank spaces of your
frame. Make sure that the Picture Frame layer is
the active one.

Go to
Selections/Modify/Expand and expand 2
pixels. If you look in your Layers Palette
you will have a layer underneath your frame,
select it.
Set your
foreground to pattern and select a pattern of
your choice to flood fill with.

Step 15
Select the
frame layer in your layers palette again and use
your magic wand to select alternating points of
your star. Expand and select the bottom
layer just like you did above and flood fill
with a different pattern.

Step 16
Repeat Step 15
with the remaining points and a different
pattern.

Step
17
Repeat Step 15,
but this time choose the center.
Step 18
Using your
Cloning Brush, right click a bit to the left and
above the part of your image you want to be in
the center. In your frame, left click and
hold to a bit to the left and above your center
to fill in with your picture. Do not let
go of the left mouse button until you are
finished. You may need to undo and start over
again to get it positioned where you want.
I resized the fairy image by 85 % then sharpened
so that she fit in easier.

You are now finished. If
you want to add a drop shadow you can do that by
selecting the frame layer then Selections/
Select All then clicking on the frame with your
selection tool or magic wand.
