Another Background Tile

You will need Paint Shop
Pro 7 for this tutorial.
This tutorial requires
no other filters. There are some wonderful effects that
are included with Paint Shop Pro and it uses them.

Now using your Paint Brush set to the following

Draw an X and a cross on
your tile. You should have something like this.

like this

Step 5
Go to Effects/Reflection
Effects/Rotating Mirror and set both the Horizontal and Vertical
Offset to 0 and the Rotation Angle to 180.
Step 6
Repeat Step 5, but this time set the
Rotation Angle to 270
You should have
something like this.

This is what I used for
the bottom background on this page. You can stop here if you
want or achieve a different look with another step.
Step 7
Go to Effects/Reflection
Effects/Pattern and set Horizontal and Vertical Offset to 0,
Rotation Angle to 90, Scale factor to 0, Columns and Rows to 3 and
Horizontal and Vertical Shift to 0.
You now have
this.

I used this for the
table border on this page.
That's it! Your
pattern will be different each time depending on how you draw
your lines in Step
3.
Here are some of the
different ones I came up with.
This is done with a Tic
Tac Toe Pattern

Here is how they would
look used on a page.

This was done with a 4
diagonals making a diamond in the center.

Here is how they would
