I was born and raised in Washington state.  Upon graduation from high school, I continued my education at Spokane Falls Community College, where I earned an Associates Degree in Interior Design.  My first job following college was at a custom cabinetry business. In October 1993, I married Dana Peterson and we moved to Virginia with the Air Force.

I was introduced to Polymer clay while visiting my mother.  She showed me how to make a rose and I have been creating clay miniatures ever since.  I have no formal training in sculpting and the college art classes were mainly to teach painting and how to use color for delineation.

As each year passes, I learn more about the clay and the things I can do with it.  It is truly a wonderful medium to work with and the possibilities are endless. I give God the credit for blessing me with this talent.  My hope is that by sharing it with other people, I can bring a smile to someone’s day.
