Floating on a dreamy blue sea,
A world of wonder underneath me.
Coral gardens of magnificent hues,
Causing me to stop and muse.
Speculating of life in the deep,
I fall into an enchanted sleep.
My legs have turned into fins,
How strange this dream begins.
Resting upon a scallop shell,
On the ocean's floor I find I dwell.
Silvery fish drift slowly by me,
Truly amazing for me to see.
Seaweed dances so gracefully,
With crustaceans calling playfully,
I go and join the frolicsome fun,
But sadly my awakening has begun.
I feel the sun's warmth upon my limbs,
My dream was only passing whims.
Yet in my hand a pearl does rest,
A remnant of my undersea quest.
